10-Day School Stay @ Elundini

Whether you are a South African school group or a school group from overseas, we believe that immersing yourself in the beauty and the culture at the heart of the Eastern Cape's Xhosa homelands is an experience you will take with for the rest of your life. Not everything can be taught in class rooms. Getting out of your comfort zone and experiencing different things is the only way to grow as a person. Why not doing this for 10 days in a small, African, rural Xhosa village tucked away high in the Amathole Mountains far away from civilisation.

 
Program

Cultural Activities
Go on an exciting village tour, bake Xhosa bread on an open fire and twist your tongue to learn the Xhosa click language. Sing and dance with the local youth, eat with a local family and live like a local!!

Adventure
Explore the Amathole Mountains on a 2-day hiking adventure, discover secret waterfalls or be amazed by the Milky Way on a stargazing night walk.

Sustainable living/volunteering
Learn about the different natural building techniques and help build an African hut. Help plant fruit trees and work on your green fingers in the community garden or play with these cuties in the local kindergarten. Do good and feel good. Give back!!

Live for 10 days in basic conditions: no wifi (only for emergencies), no electricity in the rooms (only in the main house), hot water made with fire or from solar power, nearest town is 25km away, composting toilets instead of flushing toilets....say no for 10 days to modern day commodities!
